The app features an on-screen guide that aids in ensuring consistent eye positioning across all nine photographs. Additionally, 9 Gaze automatically generates a composite image comprised of the nine individual photos for effortless exporting.

The app includes useful features such as self-mode and standard mode, on-screen guidance for eye placement with autocrop functionality, and the capability to skip gaze directions or retake any picture. Users can also adjust settings like turning the flash on or off, and choose between landscape and portrait modes. Furthermore, the app allows for documenting essential information such as name, ID number, date of birth, and picture date.

It is important to note that no data or photos are stored within the app, and users are reminded to safeguard any protected health information (PHI) they handle. For added security, users are advised to encrypt their phone and disable iCloud photo backup when saving images to their camera roll. When sharing photos via email, users are encouraged to ensure the security of their email communication to comply with HIPAA regulations.
